Ambassadors

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 was the basis for the fourth installment of the Planted series at North Ridge this morning. As Christians, we are spiritually recreated the moment we believe, becoming “a new creation” (v.17) God reconciles Himself to us, placing His light within us to share with the rest of the world. We are given the responsibility to share, as ambassadors of heaven, but retain our free will. Intentionally allowing our light to shine not only connects God to another individual, but connects them to us as well. This is what God desires to create, people connected to people, each of those connected to Him. If you are already an ambassador of heaven, are you fulfilling your duty to shine a bright and as often as possible? If not, respond to the light you see; come shine with us.

A city within a city

Sketch of the service at North Ridge this morning, growing a city within a city. Each of us are placed where we are at a specific time and for a specific purpose. Even if your surroundings are not what you would have chosen for yourself, it is your responsibility to grow where you’re planted.

Growing is not meant to be experienced individually, growth requires connecting with other people and developing relationships through those connections, building a city within your own city.

Selflessness

This sketch is actually from a brief recap of the previous week’s message at North Ridge. We were encouraged to change our traditional paradigm of priorities where our needs come first to instead adopt a mindset of total selflessness, the last shall be first and the first shall be last.
