After reading Cormac Mccarthy’s masterpiece, ‘The Road’ and doing some in depth studying of Abraham and Issac in Genesis 22, I have caught the wave of inspiration to make a series of pieces with fire as my subject. This series will culminate in an inverted painting.
Today is entry #1, Carry the Fire. An artist mentor and friend encouraged me with this advice:
Don’t go out and try to set the world on fire. Set yourself on fire and see where it catches.
May we all have a fire to carry and a place to pass it forward.
Carry your fire.
